Congratulations! To all the Armada swimmers who took on the La Jolla Rough Water swim. For most of our swimmers it was a fun and exciting first time experience, with great times and placing amongst their age groups. We look forward to seeing more of our athletes join us at the next annual Rough Water Swim. 13-14 Boys Michael Lee 4th– 22:50 Alejandro Moran 8th– 24:00 15-16 Boys Brandon Yong 2nd– 21:05 13-14 Girls Taylor Ault 1st22:18 Lavona Harper 7th– 24:36 April Martinez 8TH– 24:47 Noelle Fimbres 23rd– 26:27 Jackie...

What a surprise! We walked in to workout at 6:00 AM on Monday to find a Fox News crew ready to shoot a short clip about the hot weather in So Cal over the weekend. We were asked to be in the clip and of course the swimmers were very excited to be on live TV. This link will bring up the footage. Watch carefully when the commentator tells our swimmers to swim and notice the dive of the swimmer on the far left. http://www.myfoxla.com/story/22731715/more-record-heat-possible-as-southland-sizzles Last night part of...

The Armada Einsteins are an elite group of Armada swimmers that have achieved a perfect 4.0 GPA (straight A's) for any grading period. If your school uses a system other than A B C grades, then whatever your best possible grade is would count as an A grade. Bring your report card to your coach and they will verify it. You get the really cool shirt pictured to the right as a reward for your hard work. Do great in school and join this elite group of scholar-athletes.
We are a Speedo® sponsored club and that means that our swimmers must compete in Speedo® suits and caps. The suits with the Armada logos are on sale through the store at Splash or by order form at Palos Verdes or El Segundo. If you need a cap for the meet, Don will have some for sale at the upcoming meets. If you would like to order Armada caps with the swimmer's name on them, you need to talk to Bev in the Splash office and place your order. Do...
Many of you might be interested in a very well developed app for both the Apple product line and Android based devices. OnDeck Parent reads the same data base we use to track our swimmers times and attendance. It is free, very easy and fun to use. I have attached a link to the TeamUnify page that will get you started - http://www.teamunify.com/__corp__/ondeck/ondeck-parent.php. You can also view a tutorial on the club website that teaches you how to use the program. Go to the MyTutorial tab in the left menu...
Team parkas are sold only through the team office - not the store by the main entrance. You may want to try on different sizes at the Splash Center Store, but DO NOT buy them there. When you have determined the size you need, come and talk to Bev in the team office. We will order and do the embroidary for you. It takes about two weeks to get back a finished parka. If you want customized caps with names on them, you need to place an order with...
