Long Course JO's
The Armada 12-under JO team looked
outstanding last weekend.
It seemed like every day got better throughout the meet.
Five days of swimming is a tough assignment, but, you
handled it well and we had multiple championship swims with
numerous best times.
The goal at a heats/finals meet is to swim faster at night in
the finals than you swam in the prelims – this happened over and
over again. You did
a great job.
The Armada finished in 8th place,
just ahead of Brea Aquatics.
This was a very fast meet with many very large teams, so,
placing in the finals or consols was a bit harder than normal.
With the last minute loss of two very strong Jr. National
swimmers and the fact that we had an outstanding unattached
swimmer in the 13-14 girls, cost us many points.
We would have finished even higher in the standings.
High Point Winner for the meet was Elise
Garcia as she scored in all 6 of her events.
She was 3rd in the 50 Free, 5th in
the 100 free, 6th in the 100 Fly, 8th in
the 200 IM, 9th in the 50 Fly, 12th in the
100 Back. Great job!
Courtney Hanson and Bianca Preciado both
finished 2nd in the 50 Brst and 1st in the
100 Brst. Bianca
also scored in the 50 Fly (10th) and 50 Free (12th).
It is a very big deal to
win an event at JO’s, great job girls.
Also scoring at the meet:
Mireille Codjia - 13th in the 50 Brst.
Dustin Lam - 11th 50 Bk, 13th 100 Bk, 13th

Free, 14th 200 IM.
Sarah Stacer – 12th 100 Bk, 15th 200 IM.

Also, relay swimmer Adrian Sosa.
